The NOAA keeps us from getting washed away, blown away, or baked alive. They track hurricanes, warn about tornadoes, monitor rising sea levels, and study climate change. They’re the reason we know when a blizzard is coming, why planes don’t fly straight into storms, and why fishermen don’t get lost at sea.

Trump is cutting more than 1,000 jobs at the NOAA.
WHY?

"Oh, it's about budget cuts." "Efficiency." "Reducing government waste." "Climate denial."

No, Y'all. It's about STRATEGIC ignorance. These assholes know good and damn well that climate change is REAL. They're not in denial. They've been preparing for it! They aren’t “mismanaging” resources. They are engineering catastrophe.

They've been buying up land in safer areas like Montana, Wyoming, and the Great Lakes because they are projected to be climate refuges when sea levels rise and the heat reaches hell degrees.
They’ve been investing in water. Private equity firms and billionaires are securing water rights because they know it is gonna be the most valuable commodity in the future. Btw, have they cleaned up Flint and Jackson's drinking water yet?

The military knows too that climate change is a national security threat. We're gonna see amped up climate-related conflicts: displacement, food shortages, mass migration, and geopolitical instability. Just look around the world and you'll see that most of the major conflicts started from climate-related changes.

Look at what insurance companies keep doing when there's hurricanes and fires. They are backing out. They're doing cold, hard financial math because the cost of climate disasters is too damn high. Meanwhile, lobbyists keep paying off politicians to scream about “junk science” and "woke ideology" so they can keep profiting from oil drilling and fossil fuels.

They're not in denial. They know climate change is real. They know stronger hurricanes, rising sea levels, extreme droughts, and record heat waves are coming. And that’s PRECISELY why they want to shut down the agencies tracking all this.

This is a repackaged colonial death logic at play. They don't want to prevent catastrophes. They want to make sure that the right people survive.

By dismantling the NOAA, this means we'll have fewer warnings, fewer disaster preparations, and fewer ways for vulnerable communities to protect themselves.

If we don’t know the storm is coming, then we can’t evacuate. If we don’t know the drought is worsening, we can’t ration resources. If we don’t have the data, we can’t fight for policy changes!
This is racist capitalism. This is about the consolidation of white power! Make no mistake about it, Y'all. Wealthy white communities will still have access to private weather services, emergency resources, and climate-controlled infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Black, brown, and poor white communities who depend on federal agencies for preparedness will be left exposed, displaced, devastated, dead.

Trump and his ilk don’t want to stop climate change; they want to PROFIT from it. They're investing in disaster capitalism, water privatization, and real estate in higher elevations. So why not gut public protections? More displacement, more cheap land, more chaos for them to exploit.
What we are witnessing is DELIBERATE, STRATEGIC DESTRUCTION! It's like pulling the batteries out of your smoke detector before setting your house on fire because you already got the keys to the escape hatch. That's what they're doing.
