the entire right-wing collectively clutched their pearls and screamed about it like it was the most horrible, disrespectful thing that's ever happened in the history of the universe since the dawn of all time. Words like "treason" were thrown around and he lost his job and was blackballed by the NFL.
But on January 6, when the insurrectionists broke into the Capitol; destroyed property; fought with police; defecated in Nancy Pelosi's office, while searching for her and Mike Pence so they could hang them, it was called "legitimate political discourse" by the right-wingers. And what was the rioters' punishment? A few months in jail and a blanket pardon and possibly getting their reparation fines reimbursed. And they were called "patriots." That's not what they called Colin Kaepernick, not by a long shot.
Are you effing kidding me? Taking a knee is so god-awful horrible and anti-American, but what happened on January 6 was patriotic?
Has the world gone mad or is it just me?
