67. I do hope someone on the Dem side is making a list of legislative changes to limit the future danger

Tuesday

So many things could have been prevented had Congress cleaned up the arcane and the overly broad elements in past legislation. People always say that when a law gets passed and folks know it is not perfect, "Oh we can go back and adjust things later". Clearly that has not happened enough. Admittedly Trump is an out of bounds idiot but expecting everyone to stay within the "customs and norms" when there is no timely and meaningful penalty for not doing that is clearly a mistake. Shame and embarrassment is no longer an incentive to be better.
