84. I feel like I'm living in some parallel universe now

Opposite World. Upside down.

I never would have imagined this current state of affairs in my country. Sure, things were bad under Reagan, and the Bush's, but I felt like there were at least some responsible and moral people in those admins. Nothing like that now. The lunatics are, indeed, running the asylum, and everyday, its something worse coming into view.

I just have to check out sometimes---play with the dogs, ride my horse, work in the gardens, walk in the woods. I checked out for several months after the election. It just did not compute. It was devastating, and caught me completely off guard. I am of the bipolar persuasion. We need a calm, stable, supportive environment. The constant turmoil, outrage, and just plain ugliness now, is unsettling and depressing.

I'm too old for this shit!
