Newsom talks a good game, but is a moderate middle roader a bit to the left of Rahm Emmanuel. As a native Californian, I have relatives who were affected by the fires and lost their homes and communities. Help has been hard to come by, and several of my (elder) generation are still struggling to find stability. Last year, he ordered sweeps of homeless encampments throughout California, with no state services to follow up on the displaced people. He has never advocated for the immigrant citizens of his state, content to let them slave in silence. I don’t think he has ever supported the farmworkers union! He didn’t say much about the ICE raids until Trump stole command of the CA National Guard.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but he is way too deferential to Thiel and the other Silicon Valley transhumanists to ever be entrusted to care for human beings.

We have a deep bench to draw from. Look hard! Choose carefully!
