He has threatened them personally with a primary and they like their fancy jobs. It's also possible that magas have threatened their lives and families. There could also be nasty kompromat on some of them. Others are true believers.

What's so stupid is that if they all stood against him as a unit, they could push him back. But that would require courage and character. Ha.
