41 - 55 may be a record 14 pt negative for 'you gov' but falls short of AP NORC* poll from June 5 - 9, 2025 which was 39-60. As well as 38-54 from Quinnipiac same dates.
41-55 appears close to the field average of reputable polls from the past few months. Which excludes pro trump push polls which blatantly pad trumps approval by up to ten points.
There are several pro trump polls Rasmussen trafalgar RMG Quantus, which should not be included as valid representation of public opinion. Indeed a new pro trump poll seems to appear every 3 months or so, and disappear after a short stay, thankfully.
Right wing website Real Clear politics (RCP) field average includes both pro trump bullscat as well as reputable polls, and their avg today July 16 is 45.5 - 50. The CNN field average is as I noted above about 41-55. A negative 5 by RCP vs negative 14 by reputable polls.
Real clear politics allows padding; it has a drop back of approx 18 days where a poll older than 18 days is not included in its field average of polls. Rasmussen as a Tracking poll posts a result every business day so is immune to the 18 day drop back and is included in every single RCP field average, whereas reputable polls disappear after 18 days and are included only a while.
RCP knows this, as well as clearly seeing the padding, but allows it because Real Clear Politics is a corrupt pro trump spin machine as well as the shitty pro trump polls I mentioned above.
Several polls exist only to praise trump and the republican way and should be ignored as crap.
