...deputy attorney general. Muller's own background was being the FBI director appointed by George W. Bush. Did anyone really think that investigation was going anywhere? I was shocked that it resulted in charges against 34 individuals and three companies.

There was no world in which an investigation by an appointee of an appointee of the guy being investigated under a department of justice being run by the guy being investigated was ever going to actually point a finger at the guy being investigated.

Garland--having been appointed by Biden--should have had free reign to investigate anything Turnip did without fear of it being quashed by the Biden Administration.
