IRS is a mess after DOGE cuts [View all]

So I filed taxes for 3 years ago on time. Just got a letter about that return from the IRS that I had a big overpayment but they never got my return and to send it. Then got letter I owed a lot for the same year with penalties and interest. The return I actually filed showed all taxes paid and I had an overpayment. I called the number for help and they just said due to high call volume call back tomorrow. I called the next day and they said the same thing. The IRS is a mess! How do you get any answers when they're telling you 2 completely different things about the same tax return with multiple numbers pulled out of God knows where and threatening you. They give you no way to resolve the problems caused by THEM! DISASTER!
