Showing Original Post only (View all)Trump Is at a Delicate Age, as Am I [View all]
In the Bible, Psalm 90:10 reads:
10. "The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength, labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away."
I'll be 80 years old at the end of this month. Trump is 79. Even in biblical times, the age a person could reasonably expect to live to was 70, as it is now. It hasn't changed all that much in a few thousand years. As the Bible recognizes, some people live to be 80, and that is still true.
I've watched people age past 70 and up to 80. In some cases, as with my parents, they lived until they were 96 years of age. The second half of that verse applies as well. the last decade or two for people who live into their 80s or 90s are not generally joyful years, but years of steadily poorer health and energy, if you're lucky enough to get there.
I can vouch for that. I did not really feel my age until recently. Now, I do. As a realist, I recognize that I am not going to feel like a young man any longer.
I guarantee that Trump understands that, as well. At 79, his obesity and other issues are taking their toll on him. He knows. But, unlike for me, that scares the crap out of him. He's losing his power, and strength. There is no way to ignore that once you're out of your 70s. I'm aware of it in myself, but it doesn't bother me so much and I'm not trying to deny it. It is what it is. Nothing I do will turn back the clock.
Trump knows. But he denies. However, it will "soon be cut off, and he will fly way." I hope to outlive him.

But trump is looking into a void - a blackness where no one will pay attention to him anymore.

He's thinking about his legacy. That's a way to pressure him and attack Republicons
