Third generation Floridian here, and I got the hell out of there in the mid 90’s. Moved to Washington state and it was the best decision of my life.
It’s really gone downhill since then even. I’m one of the very few in my family who has moved out and they can keep it, DeSatan and all.
I do however have many fond memories of growing up there before rampant overdevelopment ruined the place.
