Details: Ex military guy moved out of a Santa Monica apartment years ago. He left grenades in the associated storage unit. New tenant found the grenades and called the cops. Explosive experts picked them up. The explosion experts thought the grenades were inert and cut one in half.

They are now raiding the guys boat and car.

The investigation into the deaths of three L.A. County deputies, all killed by an explosion of military-style grenades thought to be inert, has made its way from Santa Monica to Marina del Rey where law enforcements officials were spotted outside an apartment complex Monday.
