The epicentre was located 136 kilometres east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a city in Russia's Far East.

8..7!! The biggest and scariest one I was ever in was 6.7. We were just about right on top of it.

i remember the 7.7 earlier in russia and commented that the strees from that had to go somewhere and here it is .
