Media Matters: Steve Bannon just laid out the MAGA media playbook to subvert the midterms [View all]
Sound familiar?
... 1. Sending federal police, the National Guard, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to occupy liberal cities like an invading army.
2. Seeking to ban mail-in voting.
3. Pushing for unprecedented, mid-decade Congressional redistricting efforts.
4. Attempting to purge voter rolls and suppress turnout by requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections.
5. Calling for a mid-decade census that would exclude people in the United States without authorization, which experts have argued would be unconstitutional...
Bannon then escalated his rhetoric, demanding that ICE agents enforce voter ID measures in cities throughout the country, seemingly without regard to local and state laws.
They're petrified over at MSNBC and CNN that, hey, since we're taking control of the cities, there's going to be ICE officers near polling places, Bannon said. You damn right. If you don't have an ID if you're not a citizen you're not voting, he said...
In addition to Texas, Bannon called for Indiana, Missouri, South Carolina, Florida, [and] Ohio, to create new Republican seats through extreme gerrymandering in order to protect Trump from possible impeachment...
Trump celebrated the result in a post on Truth Social, adding that if Republicans STOP MAIL-IN VOTING and go to PAPER BALLOTS, Republicans will will pick up 100 more seats, and the CROOKED game of politics is over....
Its incumbent on legacy media to tell the whole story ... After all, Bannon and his fellow travelers in MAGA media are very open about their playbook."

Sure. It's obvious to us here, but it's not obvious to Democrats nationwide. RW media ain't playin'.
And.
What is this RW playbook to the minority Democratic Party? What will the Democratic Party DO?
For the record and from now on...
-- the Democratic Party across states -- especially red states -- cannot be caught up short by this playbook.
-- the Party cannot say -- if it ever did -- that it didn't know this midterm and GE timeline in advance.
After TX's 5 new seats, Indiana, Missouri, South Carolina, Florida, and Ohio can do the same,
adding 6 more = 11 R seats in the US House.
BUT.
WHILE California is adding 5 new seats, Blue states must not passively sit by, but must expedite new redistricting by any means necessary.
IL can add 2; NY can add 4, CO can add 2, NJ can add 1,
adding 8 more = 14 D seats in the US House.
from BRDS's rabbithole search...
For other blue states - in NJ, there are 9 (D)s & 3 (R)s,
in WA, there are 8 (D)s & 2 (R)s,
in MD, there 7 (D)s & 1 (R),
in OR, there are 5 (D)s & 1 (R), and
CO has a split of 4 (D)s & 4 (R)s.
It might be a wash or a gain, but so what. It's worth it. We can't not do this. Copy/paste this info in emails from the Party and don't suggest or ask, TELL them DO this.
We here must PUSH the Democratic Party to DO THIS.
