In addition: to them, change is bad in general. It takes away your right to do things like own other human beings or work children to death. It seeks to curtail your god-given right to a gun if you want it. It threatens to overturn gender roles that keep the world you know in its little lane of comfort. It pushes the world towards equality and diversity that really really makes you uncomfortable.
This was never about a logo on a billboard on the side of the interstate. It was always about the slippery-slope of allowing anything to change--because when you are working so hard to push America back to a thankfully bygone era, you can't allow anyone--but especially a woman--to change anything that reminds you of the good-old-days now can you?
