12. It costs a small fortune to join a lot of sororities and fraternities.

Not a place for anyone without rich parents. It also takes up a lot of time socializing that could be spent studying... And at an age when peer pressure is everything - there is a lot of partying... sex, drugs, and alcohol. Not an easy place to have a serious college career unless you are really disciplined. And if you are really disciplined you probably won't do well in the Greek system.
