11. "The news" is not more accessible

That is to say, what is most accessible is clickbait, attention-grabbing pablum. That is because informing the public with the truth is no longer an objective. The new mantra is "Hey, what is 'truth' anyway? Nobody really can say, so we're just going for clicks and ratings."

There is some room for optimism from the fact that the truth has never been more available. It is harder and harder for powerful people to hide their corruption and crimes. BUT ... one must be an ACTIVE consumer of the truth. None of the networks hand that out as a matter of routine.

We have to be the "network". We have to find ways to help our friends, families, and associates get the truth when it really matters. It probably won't be effective to just be a fire hose, spraying our every video or Bluesky post we see. But people are starting to see what we are up against. It is reflected in Trump's cratering approval. It shows in South Park getting their highest ratings in years. It shows in many ways.

We can do this.
