Let's be frank. This president could shoot and murder someone on U.S. streets and get away with it [View all]

...with the present balance of power in the legislature and the courts.

He's just killed 11 people in international waters using the same provably false claim he's used against Venezuelan immigrants here in the U.S. of being drug gang members, without presenting a shred of proof.

The maga majority on the sitting Supreme Court has granted this president invented immunity for 'official acts,' and he's using that impunity to trample all over Americans, and now, ostensibly, wherever in the world he chooses using his own warped view of history, events, and circumstances to place this country in an offensive posture against everyone except the dictatorial regimes that have been regarded as military adversaries by successive presidents for decades; Democratic and republican.

This is the result of unbridled, unchecked power assumed by just one man, and it's not going to end tomorrow. Anyone and everyone who openly opposes this regime is in danger, to the degree that their very lives may be at risk.

It's not as if they even have to directly confront Trump, he's a roving danger with an eye toward hurting people he opposes for any variety of reasons, and he's wielding the power we pay for to perpetrate this totalitarianism against Americans and others in his and his administration's autocratic sights.

There is no justice or relief in sight as the maga majority on the Court that enabled Trump into office and granted him these invented immunities are still in place to enable him even further.

It's a crime against democracy that we're all forced to wait like peasants for their final judgment on EVERYTHING essential and vital to our democracy; this Supreme Court majority having already demonstrated their contempt for the people and our ELECTED legislature by knocking down lower court rulings against Donald Trump like kings, without any explanation at all.

There are no rights that can be defended with surety against this abusive and coercive government, and we are all at an incredible risk of being completely devastated, to the point of losing our very lives and livelihoods, by a government concerned only with what THEY want, and whatever this president decides.
