Sure. Because prostitutes now go door to door (like a Fuller Brush man) to drum up a date! I guess that he interprets his 'no soliciting' sign a bit broader than most would.

From the article:

Rawicki – after being read his Miranda rights – reportedly told police he believed the woman was a prostitute when she approached him in the driveway and that he "attacked her out of fear for his wife's safety." He allegedly admitted to having shot at the two people – saying he was "in fear of his family's safety."

The suspect had also called 911 where he "confirmed he was the shooter advising that he has a 'no soliciting' sign," the affidavit states, noting, however, that Rawicki "also expressed understanding that [the woman] was at the wrong house by mistake."


Thank goodness that he didn't kill her.
