Came on to say this. There are numerous cases where mobsters become informants in order to get their enemies in trouble with the FBI and also get a pass on their own crimes. It's a win/win for them. Whitey is the perfect example of this. It's totally possible Trump was an informant but that isn't the flex Johnson thinks it is. It would have just been another vehicle for Trump to get retribution and to cover his butt.
