Trump says they found the killer. Interesting he's not calling the suspect out for the ties to the 'left' he's alleged [View all]
OREM, Utah (Reuters) - A suspect in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at a Utah university has been taken into custody, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday...
"I think we have him," Trump told Fox News in an interview, adding that a person who knows the suspect had turned him in.

Trump explained that someone "very close" to the suspect turned him.
He then expanded that it was the suspect's father, at the urging of a minister.
Trump said: "They drove into the police headquarters. He's there now."
The President did say he was "always subject to be corrected" - but added "as I was walking in, they said 'looking real good'".
The President said he did not know if the suspect was part of a bigger network, did not reveal his name, and added he had only been told "five minutes" before going live on TV.

Q: "Your suspicion was that he was radical left....What can you share about his ideology?"
Trump: "I don't want to go to far, I'd like to tell you some stories, but essentially someone very close to him turned him in...So you have breaking news."
"I'd like to tell you some stories."
