...deserves repeating.

What's happening with republican youth? Are they being radicalized by the republican gun culture like the kid who shot the former president?

I just saw republicans raffling off guns at their convention.

It's just sickening. If Trump, himself, hadn't deliberately blocked legislation taking guns like the one that shot him off of the street, that kid might not have had the firepower to commit the act.

It's even more likely he wouldn't have possessed that weapon if republicans hadn't been blocking gun reform decades before Trump came to Washington.

Something is seriously wrong with republican youth. At the very least, republicans should check their own and make certain there isn't another shooter developing under their own roofs as they support this radical, violent party.

Donald Trump posting images of President Biden bound and gagged; posting images of himself brandishing a baseball bat at the head of the man prosecuting him; his entire panoply of violent rhetoric and outright threats against Americans; all of these threats and derision is being witnessed almost daily and internalized by republican youth.

It's not surprising the republican youth became a mass shooter. What's surprising is that he attacked his own party, president and supporters alike, instead of the target that republicans have been projecting on Democrats for the entirety of the Trump era.

I'd take that as an ominous sign if I was a republican.

Their lives aren't at risk from Democrats adverse to dangerous weapons; the actual targets of over a 1000 rioters sent to ransack our Capitol and harm Democratic legislators, all at the direction and urging of Donald Trump.

There's blowback coming from republicans' very homes, from their very family members. They've learned all of their elders' violent ways, and they're now set to emulate them.

Should be frightening as hell for them that it's this republican youth's own political party that he targeted for his killing spree.
