(53,815 posts)from ATC, FAA and NORAD from 9/11 and I am so impressed with everyone trying to do their best to figure out what the hell was going on. And you have to remember there was no GPS or smart phones back then. Sometimes the people watching the news on TV that day knew more than the officials at the agencies. On one call the ATC said, "We have the TV on in here when we are working and the World Trade Center is on fire and since you said one of the missing planes was in this area if this could be one of the planes?".
When they sent jets up to shoot down the planes I realized those pilots weren't able to get missiles onto their jets since they were in a hurry. The pilots knew they were going to have to use their jets as missiles, one hitting the nose, the other the tail and the pilots were prepared to die. Wow!
