Let me state outright: ICE generally are not to be trusted. 100% agree. For the reasons you specified. But allow me to elaborate:

1) IF the scenario here was 3-4 ICE agents, who regularly work together (but largely unsupervised during operations except by each other) went busting down the door of a single Latina woman and her 15 year old daughter, in a single family home, and this small band of them decided to sexually assault the woman and her daughter? FUCK YES I think that could happen, and very possibly already has. A *small* group like that could statistically occasionally contain nothing but vicious rapists and child molesters. Absolutely that could happen, and nature of the job and the people filling it INCREASES the odds of that happening vs. random selection
2) IF the scenario here was sexual assault in a more secluded area of a detention facility controlled by ICE, by one or a very small handful of criminal agents? Same exact answer as the last question.
3) Dozens of ICE agents + FBI agents show up at an apartment complex, bust down doors, meaning there are dozens of potential witnesses, including their fellow ICE and FBI agents, many of whom may well be working together for the first time? IOW, THIS specific case? I think it highly unlikely that any individual decides to take it on themselves to sexually assault CHILDREN in the middle of the operation. The FBI is corrupted at the top, but I don't think there's suddenly a statistically large # of agents that would stand by and watch other officers rape freaking CHILDREN in front of them, during a formal operation like this one, and not intercede.

So, to conclude, your reply is much more based on 'general' fears, which I agree is all logical and well-founded.

However, mine was entirely specific to the situation at hand, in this story. I very much doubt that things in this country have devolved to the point where children get raped in the presence of numerous FBI agents. Might they someday? It would not shock me, but I really don't think child rape is seen as okay by very many people, thus, "groups" of rapist/pedophiles who all "approve" of that shit are likely to only occur through intentional SELF-selection, as opposed to government hiring practices, and practices of putting together task forces to accomplish a particular goal.
