16. I don't think he knows the difference between a computer and a TV.

All screens are "TV" to him. So if a video plays on a screen, he's watching tv. It doesn't help that they probably mirror it to a large monitor because he's 80 and has old eyes. And any screen that is not on a desktop with a keyboard attached to it is a "TV" to him. So he sees a video from 10 years ago and thinks it's live. He sees a video from Paris and someone tells him that it's Los Angeles and he buys it. He's also an idiot, and can't figure out that the skyline is wrong. He's the perfect AI victim. He will never question whether it's true. If it's on "TV," it's the news. And this guy may not be Walter Cronkite, but he's doing Walter Cronkite's job, and Cronkite would never lie. Therefore, TV equals truth. He's so stupid and easily manipulated. And I think you're right, Miller is a snake and this could absolutely be his doing.
