Tom and Daisy on the Titanic

The ticket of the night was the Gatsby theme Party at Mar-a-Lago this Halloween. While the rich adorned themselves in feathers and sequins, and dined on filet mignon, SNAP benefits to the poor were cut by the very man who played host to this tone deaf display of cruel conspicuous consumption.

Irony of the evening, none of the guests had likely even read the book. Or ANY book.

After the party, Gatsby’s pals, “Disaster Tourists” Tom and Daisy Buchannan, booked passage on the Titanic.
