They are trying to get away with everything they can all at once because the writing is on the wall.

Trumpublicans utterly nixed the third term bullshit because they need him to be a lame duck they can begin to move away from.

MTG isn't the only self-interested Trumpublican who sees how the winds are blowing.

The rebuke in the tariffs was massive. Trumpublican members of the House are shaking in their boots at the prospect of being forced to go on the record for or against the despised tariffs.

Among those who won their seats by less than ten point, little cracks are likely to rapidly become big cracks. Particularly if the election today is a rebuke that is in line with the polls.

In that case, even those who have a 15 point advantage are going to be getting very, very, very nervous
