3. I don't think there is a process to eject someone from the party

As a private citizen, with no elected position what would it even mean. That he can't register as a Democrat? I suspect even he knows that he has no political future as a Democrat and likely as anything else.

His votes yesterday were more likely because he was seen as the way to vote against Mamdani.

At this point, his career and reputation are deservedly trashed by his own actions. It should be a cautionary story. Hard to believe he was a hero here about 5 years ago ... before his sexual harassment accusations and his obvious nastiness in this race. I don't think, even without the accusations, he would have weathered a primary and the oppo research as some of what made him a completely unattractive candidate were there from the beginning.
