I spent 4 in the Coast Guard, 1971-1975
Enlisted with a college degree. A lot of people did at the time.
Was lucky just to get in.
Made it all the way up to Third Class Electrician's Mate.

That's more than you know who.

Got a job in aerospace as soon as I got out.
That worked out just fine.
I participated in the microcomputer revolution (and had fun doing optics as well)
