We were stunned last night at Costco to discover that the 2 * 6 pack of bagels (mix and match) has gone up from $5.99 to $7.99 in a span of no more than 6-8 months (the last time we bought them).

It does not appear that anything is cheaper than it was last Thanksgiving (and nothing was 'cheap' then either) to us. Granted this is Costco not Walmart, but we also shop at Safeway, and nothing has gotten cheaper there in the last 12 months either.
