Waiting to die in office is just ego. It's hard to give way to younger people but it's a good thing to do.

Flame at me for ageism all you want. My profession was physically demanding, so I had to make this decision at a much younger age. Because otherwise it would simply have been irresponsible and it would have put others in jeopardy. That is true at some point for all professions.
