(98,868 posts)A long time ago I was in college and one of my jobs was AV tech for the distance learning center. One evening I was arriving at work, I operated a booth with all the controls for a classroom studio. There was another booth to another classroom set next to mine and the doors were right next to each other and were usually open. As I was setting my things down and greeting to operator on duty I heard a loud crash in the booth next door.
I stepped over to look in and saw that my coworker was having a grand mal seizure and needed help. While my other coworker came in to help, I instructed him in how to help and stood up to address the professor of the class, a graduate level nursing class and the prof was the director of the program...
She had that same look on her face, a look of disgust and impatience. She was pissed that she was interrupted and was not concerned with the life threatening event my coworker was suffering. She never considered helping or inquiring as to his well being. I then ran out to the 'desk' and demanded and ambulance.
That event troubled me so much that I had to go have a talk with the dean so that someone who should know was aware of her callousness. He was pretty upset about it.
That is a total lack of humanity there.
