First on LateNighter: Jimmy Kimmel Live! unexpectedly canceled its planned Thursday night taping late this afternoon.

Tonight’s episode—originally set to feature David Duchovny, Joe Keery, and musical guest Madison Beer—has been pulled from the schedule. ABC is airing a repeat of the show’s October 28 episode in its place.

In a social media post earlier today, Madison Beer, whose performance for tonight’s show had been pre-recorded , wrote, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, @jimmykimmellive needed to reschedule my performance that was originally scheduled to air tonight to a later date.”

No explanation has yet been provided for the cancellation, but LateNighter understands that it has to do with a personal matter. The show is scheduled to return with new episodes next week.
