Most universities and health care providers are “not for profit” which in reality means absolutely nothing. It’s a tax shelter and their CEOs, university president, administrators, coaches and everyone else at the top are making bank. We should stop glorifying all of them. The funniest thing is, the people defending these salaries are the least educated and often haven’t even attended these institutions.

In ways they’re worse than actual corporations, because not for profits have become notorious for taking tons of government subsidies and providing mediocre services. It’s the worst capitalism has to offer. This patchwork of subsidies for basic services has led to incredible inefficiencies.

This has also allowed MAGA style populism to flourish. Whatever issues I have with Sanders, he’s one of the few that has called entire health care and university systems into question.

Eventually these hemorrhaging will seep through all of the bandages.
