Ronald Reagan may have had a tendency to nod off.
I have left orders to be awakened at any time in case of a national emergency even if Im in a cabinet meeting, he joked. Word got out that he napped daily, and historian Michael Schaller wrote in 1994 that Reagans staff released a false daily schedule that showed him working long hours, labeling his afternoon nap personal staff time. But some family members denied that he napped in the White House.
