2. My most heavily used Linux distro has dropped csh. zsh is now the default -- true of OSX as well.

I have work habits years old that don't work under at least one implementation of zsh. Just backgrounding a process is now a pain -- I ended up leaving Terminal open to keep the job from quitting when I close the terminal.
