It's true that sometimes you reach the point of diminishing returns [View all]

It's easy for me to say "Dems don't cave"! I can be so pissed that enough Dems in the Senate voted to pass a procedural wicket to potentially end the longest government shutdown in history, that I can't see straight.

I can do all that, and it's easy for me. I am retired with a good pension, social security, health insurance, and I am well beyond the "have at least 6 months of your monthly expenditures in the bank. My house and car are paid for. I will not have to decide if I eat this week, or make my rent payment.

But sadly, I am the exception in America.

There are people that are going hungry. There are good, decent people, working without pay. There are millions...in fact...it may be a majority, of Americans that are living paycheck to paycheck.

I am a Democrat, because my party cares about those Americans.

Right now, the Returdlicans control the White House, House, Senate and the Supreme Court. Dems don't have the power to do shit right now.

The shutdown has reached the point of diminishing returns.

I just wish all those voters that came out on Tuesday, ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, had come out in 2016 and 2024.

If you want to be pissed at someone, start looking at your neighbors, family, friends, fellow parishioners and coworkers that voted for this Retrumplican shitshow.
