If you want Democrats to be stronger in the struggle, voters must express themselves accordingly.

I would ask Senator Kaine to revisit his theme of A Deal Is A Deal.

Republicans caused the shut down because Democratic legislators were skeptical of their honor.

Rescission. Republicans can undo their compromises by using reconciliation to rescind them.

It is only honor which restrains them.

Urge them to behave honorably.

Complain vigorously when they don't.
