A very large demographic of Muslims live in Paterson, Clifton, Prospect Park, and other municipalities.

Because of Gaza, a challenger to the late Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. emerged. The Mayor of Prospect Park, who happens to be Muslim.

While Pascrell won the primary (and later died), the voting block in November went for Trump as a protest vote against Harris (and vicariously, Biden). Our congressional district nearly went red after decades of voting for Democrats.

One year later, and not only did our district vote democratic overwhelmingly, but in our own town, the republican candidates for council were defeated by one candidate who is under indictment for racketeering and other crimes.
