"her husband pleaded guilty in 2013 to one count of distributing a misbranded drug and one count of health care fraud."

I'm betting he not only illegally substituted the unapproved drug, but also BILLED insurance companies for the (more expensive, I would bet) American, approved version of the Chinese drug. And I would bet that the main reason he was convicted and given that $425K fine + restitution actually stems from evidence that he didn't JUST do it because of "shortages", but rather, he saw a way to make an extra half a million dollars by defrauding insurance and Medicare.

That seems EXACTLY like the kind of crime Trump loves hearing about. Because he'd view it as "smart". As in, it's something he does every chance he can get. Therefore it's obviously totally fine, because everything a pathological narcissist does is, by definition, PERFECT!

Also, this is a dog-whistle to Republicans across the country: "As long as you kiss my ass and do my bidding, I will pardon you for any federal crime you commit."

This isn't an administration, it's a fucking CRIME SYNDICATE. Full stop.
