1. That requires amending article II of the Constitution

AFAIK, the body of the constitution has never been modified.

While I agree that article II needs some major updating, not just restraining the president’s pardon power, but the overall scope of executive power needs to be restrained. And while they’re at it, modify article I to make the filibuster unconstitutional, and article III to put term limits and ethics rules on the Supreme Court.

I don’t expect any of that to happen in my lifetime, if ever.

We’ll be extremely lucky if we can elect Dems who will kill the filibuster and expand the court.
