but Ven. air defenses would be quickly suppressed by HARM, Tomahawk missile systems, plus the standoff weapons that American carrier based aircraft carry and Russia certainly isn't going to intervene in our back yard, they can't even stop Ukraine from striking assets inside Russia itself and Ukraine is in their backyard.

I would vehemently oppose any military action against Ven., but the bottom line is that Ven. would lose a conventional war PDQ, but a guerilla war against US ground troops would be a nightmare for US forces.
