Showing Original Post only (View all)Hi, everybody! I survived my pulmonary function test, but I don't know if I succeeded. [View all]
I won't really know until I get the official word from my doctor. And that might not happen for a day or two.
The tech was super nice: he was cheerful and explained everything that was going to happen, and what he wanted me to do as we went along.
Basically, lots of breathing with a clothespin on my nose and a nozzle in my mouth! A lot of deep breathing and then blowing it out. I was hooked to a computer which showed what my breathing looked like. Wow!
He indicated, but could not say, that I had succeeded in doing what my doctors want.
So, it's over. And now I need a nap!
And as you know, I will give a rec to each of your posts. You've helped me immeasurably, and I will never forget it.
See you all later . . .

Was this test in a glass box and did you have to nebulize during the test?

So glad those stressful tests are over. Sounds like the tech was giving you a positive message.
