This is the bill that Johnson will have to put on the floor after the discharge petition passed, thanks to our newly sworn-in rep. Adelita Grijalva.

I just want to preempt the incoming DU meltdown. It would appear many people here are under the impression that all it takes is a house vote for the files to be released.

Unfortunately, it's a bill, so it has to pass the Senate too. Good luck with that, assuming Thune even puts it up on the Senate floor.
Assuming he does, we will have to get 61 votes.

Assuming we do that, Trump will veto it, and now we need 2/3 of both houses to override it.

There is zero chance this happens.

The only positive I see is that it is in the news and keeps the pressure on Trump. Hopefully, this will cause enough MAGA to not vote for the GOP in 2026.
