He's running for Nadler's seat.
It's safe blue district so if he gets the nomination he'll win the election.

I don't totally object to the lack of elected experience. After all I supported AOC and she had lees experience than Schlossberg does.

The difference is AOC had to organize and fight against entrenched power to get the nomination. Even then she didn't get a lot of support from the party.
Schlossberg is going into this on easy mode. We won't know his metal till he's been in office.

Still the odds are he'll do OK if he does win.
