11. I have seen that before too

It was in a different country and culture, but the mindset is the same (and the allegations were similar too; it always revolves around sex and money).

The members (the in laws of a family member) claimed the videos of the cult leader were “doctored” and then they went into some conspiracy theory about those they wanted to take him down. If it were now, it would be “fake news” or people would claim it’s AI generated.
