They have had more than enough time already and they've deliberately delayed release and obfuscated the contents to imply other people. They couldn't release anything when Biden was in office because Maxwell was still on trial and there were ongoing investigations.

In Trump's case, I think he has already blackmailed the people who's names are in the files as clients and potential clients and if their names come out now, they are going to spill beans regarding both Trump's involvement and the blackmail. Some of those people are likely very wealthy Republican donors and Global billionaires and oligarchs. Trump fears them because he knows that if he were to try to flee the US to avoid prosecution for his treason and many other crimes he would have no protection from those people. And, I honestly doubt he cares much about his kids other than Barron and Ivanka but they'll probably be toast if certain peoples names are released.
