4. My understanding is that Black was not a "client" as much as a bankroller.

He seemed to have funded a huge amount of Epstein's operations. Perhaps through blackmail (apt term) or general stupidity. Perhaps he was a "client" but his usefulness to the Epstein operation was as a moneybag.
