A tactic they later exported to Latin America, where most of the progressive leaders elected during the 2003-13 “pink tide” were either turned away at the polls (or overthrown outright) by use of the exact same tactic.

And like in Alabama, plenty of right-wing media collusion as well.

Good on Don Siegelman. May he get justice someday soon for what Turd Blossom and the Alabama Klan put him through.
