Griffith has political experience, money and name recognition.
Most "Democrats" here including Bass sound more like a Republican, they hide their party affiliation now. Bass says he would have to look into expanding the Medicaid program which lost my support right there. Griffith at least supports expanding the program, and other Democratic positions. He is distinguishable from Republicans.
Our Democratic Party is so twisted now for several election cycles I use the Party Primaries to cross over and contribute to the psychotic madness of Alabama Republicanism. I'd like to think Democratic crossover primary vote kept James and Byrne out of the Governors Mansion. Bentley is the buffoon we thought he would be.
I also promised my Representative Martha Roby I would vote for anybody else any time she ran. My motto is "Anybody But Roby." And there are a couple other crackpot Republicans I can vote for against the ticket incumbents. Just for fun, but you never know.
Our Democratic primary will sort itself out. Hell, if we really really looked at them, could you find a difference? Terri Sewell is the only widely elected Democratic representative we have in the whole state!
So, remember, vote early and vote often!
